Is it weird to feel guilty about upvoting tools you never actually try?

I started upvoting a lot of products that looked cool, but I realize I rarely open them past the landing page. It feels a bit odd, almost like I'm giving a full endorsement to software I've never tested.

To me, an upvote feels more like saying "this concept is neat" rather than "I personally vouch for this." But at the same time, I catch myself feeling a little guilty about giving a thumbs up and then instantly forgetting the app exists five minutes later. Realistically, nobody has time to download and test every single launch.

How do you approach this? Do you upvote freely on potential alone, or do you strictly save your votes for tools you have actually put to work? I am trying to figure out the general consensus so I am not throwing votes around blindly.
