How do you handle visitors who are interested, but not ready to book a demo?

I’ve been thinking about this while working on a B2B website.

A lot of early-stage SaaS sites seem to have the same gap:

1. “Book a demo” feels too heavy for casual visitors
2. Contact forms feel like sending a message into a void
3. Full live chat tools create the pressure to be online all day
4. Email links are simple, but easy to ignore

So I’m curious: if you’re a solo founder or small team, how do you turn a silent website visitor into a real conversation?

Do you usually use:

- a contact form
- live chat
- Calendly / demo booking
- plain email
- Telegram / WhatsApp / Discord
- something else?

Mostly trying to understand how founders actually handle this before we ship our first version.

Honestly just started saying "grab 15 min" instead of "book a demo" on my Calendly link. Same tool way less scary.

What's your traffic looking like? under 50 visitors a day you can just eyeball whatsapp yourself, above that you need real routing.

Live chat kills the "into the void" feeling but creates a new one. ppl waiting hrs for a reply and assuming nobody's home.

Does a quiet visitor even want to talk though? some just wanna poke around and leave, might need a better trial more than another contact box.

Whatsapp business .... generic from for us people already have it open and replies feel instant even when they're not.

Following this, our contact page has been broken in the same way for months lol.

Plain email still works fine honestly, prob is nobody puts it anywhere visible anymore, it's buried three clicks deep.

For FounderFlow (I'm the founder) I lean plain email over anything that needs to feel "live". A demo ask is a big first step for someone who's just curious. What's worked better is a short async loop: they describe their situation, I send back something specific to it instead of a generic pitch, no call required unless they want one.
