How do you handle churn caused by product complexity when users originally signed up for simplicity?
by•
In the beginning, every feature request felt like an opportunity to make the product better. But as we kept adding capabilities, our churn rate slowly started creeping up.
The hardest realization was that in trying to serve every edge case, we ruined the clean experience that attracted our initial users. People are leaving not because we lack power, but because the app now feels overwhelming to navigate.
For founders who have scaled their feature set: how do you prune or simplify your product without alienating the power users who requested those extra features?
