How did your Q2 2026 goals turn out? Share your accomplishment.
Every quarter, I set goals and then review how I did.
I started doing this two years ago after realising that New Year's resolutions simply don't work for me. π To be fair, I don't always hit my quarterly goals either, but my success rate is much higher.
Here's how I did over the last three months:
Work goals:
π Publish 30 YouTube videos β one every day, right after the video editors deliver them to me.
β Unfortunately, not. :D [I know, it started well.]
π Finish the first LinkedIn-related MVP that I decided to build (and not be blocked on LinkedIn until then).
β Let's say that my version is working well, even alerts me when I am near the ban. I was banned (soft ban because of the high activity βΒ I ignored the "High" alert from my tool. This is a good sign that it works correctly.
π Help a client reach 10k followers on LinkedIn and maintain this collaboration.
β Surpassed 10k followers (almost 11k), but they cancelled the project, so collaboration didn't continue.
π If the collaboration above holds, maybe resume shooting videos on YT (1-long form per month + 2 short)
β Collaboration stopped, no new income to make videos.
Personal goals:
π Continue exercising every day.
β Every. Single. Day.
π As soon as the weather improves, start running with a local club again.
β Not yet. I was too busy travelling abroad tbh. :D
π Read a book every day / possibly use foreign language exercise books.
~ I was maintaining it until my travels. So at least for 2 months.
π Travel. (But it's not a priority right now.)
β Have been travelling across 4 countries.
π« Good thing that happened: I crossed 10k LinkedIn followers!

What were your Q2 Goals for 2026, and how did you manage to meet them?

Replies
Hello @busmark_w_nika !
My goals are:
1. Have successful launch TODAY of my new upgraded solo project SEOKRATES and find new users. <3
2. to get 2 new big clients because i quit job 3 months ago.
3. Travel and walk Santiago de Compostella route like Alchemist (from the book Alchemist - Paulo Coelho)
My Q2 was hard but i made it somehow. But i already cant work everyday from morning to the night because of my health so now i need an change! It was get first big client in AI world. Get clients so i dont need to be scared how to pay rent, food and traveling without proper work. And i made it - still its not best but i will make it!
@busmark_w_nikaΒ @hustlervΒ Oh this is amazing. Read the book, and it makes sense. Congratulations on getting your clients, that is a huge acheivement.

@hustlervΒ Hey! :) Happy to see someone from the Czech Republic, I suppose :) I think you already launched βΒ did you collect any users from the launch?
P.S. Coelho's books are awesome! :)
Wishing you the best with the tool and clients! :)
ZeroHuman.
First of all, I think your Q3 goals should include uploading YouTube videos again. Your podcast is starting to look like one of those limited series that never gets renewed for Season 2. π
As for me, Iβm not very good at working with strict quarterly plans, but Iβd probably set a few simple goals:
πPlay tennis twice a week and padel once a week.
πOn the Product Hunt side, hunt three products per month and publish three forum discussions per week.
Simple enough to track, but still ambitious enough that I can disappoint myself by the end of the quarter. π

@byalexaiΒ Hahaha, you are right, but first, I want to finish the plugin properly, because many things remained unfinished and it is difficult to return afterwards :D
It is still a lot. How is it going with the acquired platform? :)
Q2 was a mix of building, launching, and learning.
My biggest accomplishment was finally moving from only client work to launching my own public product. I launched VideoDataPro, an Apify Actor for extracting structured video metadata from 1,500+ platforms.
It is still very early, but getting something public, preparing the landing page, Product Hunt launch, assets, copy, and positioning taught me a lot.
I didnβt hit everything I wanted, but Iβm happy that Q2 moved me closer to building my own product ecosystem instead of only doing service work.

@prashant_patil14Β For me, it is like a huge scope of work and duties! :) When is the launch? :)
I like how you frame progress as a cycle rather than a pass/fail scoreboard. Even the goals you didnβt hit still moved things forward. Congrats on the 10k and the travel streak β strong quarter overall.
My goals were set for the EOY rather than Q2, because I work at a startup and we're still trying to find product market fit whilst the product is in a state of flux - but I'm feeling confident that we're getting closer based on the user research, and the feedback we're getting.
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@joe_fields1Β Cool! For how long do you work on that startup?
Hi @busmark_w_nika
Pretty Good. My goals were, start mentoring, build with gpt, write medium articles.
Where I landed
1. Got Top 50 Design mentors on ADPList, guided few folks to get new jobs
2. Designing AI Conversational Agents at work
3. Vibe-coding a writing tool with claude, almost getting to early access.
4. Got through to conducting a 2.5 hour workshop at a Design conference, UXIndia26
For Q2, I want to keep it simple and keep investing time in building, getting feedback and mentoring.

@roopesh_dondeΒ Wow! You were pretty productive :D Now, I am embarrassed that I didn't do so much! :D
Love this format, Nika and congrats on cracking 10k (and the everyβsingleβday exercise streak; honestly that consistency is the real flex). A LinkedIn tool that warns you before the ban is very clever.
Here's my Q2 2026, honestly:
Work
β Shipped our first app it went live on Microsoft and Google Play this week. A lot of "nearly there" finally crossed the line.
β Stood up the whole foundation company incorporated, website + two storefronts live, content engine started.
β Turning all that into paying customers not there yet. The humbling lesson of the quarter: shipping β demand. I can build the thing; getting the right people to actually care is the harder craft, and I'm still learning it (this community's been a crash course).
Started putting our method out as writing one article down, now the discipline of holding a cadence.
Personal
β Kept the boring habits. 25+ years in project delivery taught me they compound showed up daily, even on the noβprogress days.
β Told myself I'd switch off this quarter. Absolutely did not. Working on it. π
Biggest win: watching something we built go live for real users.
Biggest lesson: a great product nobody can find is just an expensive hobby so Q3 is all about being found.
What's the one Q2 goal you're proudest of hitting?
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@gordon_scullyΒ Thank you Gordon! :) I am probably proud of those 10K followers for my client :)
Regarding your goals, do you have any idea how to turn those clients into paying ones?
@busmark_w_nikaΒ Ha, 10K is no small feat! In my experience the bridge from follower to buyer is giving them one small concrete win up front (free template/assessment), then being super specific about the outcome you deliver people buy outcomes, not features. The first "this actually works" moment does the selling. Happy to compare notes anytime!
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@gordon_scullyΒ I would like to see a case study referring to your effort. :)
loved the honesty here. Q2 for me: shipped the first real version of AgentTrust (control layer for AI agents, pre-action approval, audit trail), which was the main goal. missed the "post consistently on LinkedIn" goal pretty badly, good intentions, bad follow-through. gym every day held, that streak is the one thing i actually protect. the client milestone turning into a cancelled project is such a specific kind of annoying, you hit the number and still lose the contract. congrats on 10k though, that one counts regardless.
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@rnagulapalleΒ you are pretty productive too. love that vibe. Regarding client... I mean, it was great for earning money, but the topic / industry wasn't really "mine" :D
I love reading how real this is. We may not acheive all goals but we get there eventually.
Mine were to reach a revenue target, I was there for about a month.
Launching our product and now onto scaling.
Personally, it was finding more time for myself and getting fit.
I've consistently been eating healthy and Im happy :)

@fatima_shehzadΒ Happy to hear that your fitness schedule is on the right tryct :) What product are you working on? :)
@busmark_w_nikaΒ Thank you so much, it took some time but finally!
I've been working on Takivo. It's an AI native workplace communication platform, if you want to check it out

@fatima_shehzadΒ Thank you, gonna have a look at the web :)
@busmark_w_nikaΒ Thank you so much, truly appreciate it.
My Q2 2026 accomplishment wasn't a number β it was proving to myself that I could build an entire educational universe as a solo creator.
Over the last three months, I refined an AI-powered workflow that lets me create consistent 3D animated characters, place them in completely different environments, and produce educational content entirely from a smartphone.
I also built interactive classroom tools like worksheets, quizzes, and learning games around those characters to make learning more engaging for children.
Perhaps the biggest milestone was realizing that many of the barriers I assumed existed β expensive hardware, large teams, complex pipelines β were often assumptions more than requirements.
Q2 didn't just move RandomTyms forward.
It changed what I believe an independent creator can realistically build.
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@randomtymsΒ That is a big thing. I like it when people work on something educational. Will you collaborate with schools?
@busmark_w_nikaΒ Thank you! In Q2, my main goal was proving I could build an entire educational universe as a solo creator, which I managed by refining an AI-powered workflow. Now that the foundation is set, my next focus is expanding these toolsβlike my 'Digital Safety Lab'βinto school environments. While RandomTyms covers science, space, and English, I am actively looking for ways to integrate these curricula into classrooms. Even if you are in a different region, I'd love to hear your perspective on the education space there!
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@randomtymsΒ I am wishing you good luck with the effort! :)
I love the quarterly approach. Three months is long enough to make meaningful progress but short enough to adjust before an entire year slips by.
One thing that stood out to me was your MVP. Getting soft banned because you ignored your own "High" alert is probably the best validation you could ask for. π
I'm curious, looking back at Q2, which achievement ended up creating the biggest opportunity for Q3? Sometimes it's not the goal we planned that moves us forward the most.
minimalist phone: reduce your screentime
@md_khayruzzamanΒ I think that the hot topic is my safelimit tool. And regarding opportunities... I travelled in Q2 a lot, had some bad experiences so I want to rather stay home and work on things :D
What were your goals, and how did you achieve them? :)
