I recently received an email that Andrew Ng, the creator behind Coursera, is launching 3 new courses in machine learning and it forwarded me to the website deeplearning.ai. This got me to think about how easy it has become to learn new skills. You just need to invest time and effort.

Hi @ryangilbert I am reading Atomic Habits: Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results by James Clear. This is truly a masterpiece. If someone is looking for something prescriptive that will lay out many do's and dont's for creating new habits and breaking old ones. It is full of directly actionable advice. Highly recommended! Has anyone else started reading or finished reading Atomic Habits? What have your learned from it and do you apply that advice in your life? Could you share your experiences with us?

I watch a couple of video clips from XiaoHongShu ("little red book", which is the video version of Instagram in China), found that people using systematic tools for reading (stickers, pens and the way they read). So I started to learn from them. It is great to improve my reading. And I prefer read slow now than fast.

I have been reading the Bhagwat Gita of late, and I have become more aware of myself and more confident in my actions. Yesterday itself, I was in a situation where generally I would have accepted verbal garbage thrown at me, but I not only resisted it but also put the other person in his place. Knowing how exactly a person should operate in certain scenarios has been helping me since last 2 months now.

Yes! I read NYT & HBR daily while coffee, for example, to make sure I get some external nudge to expose myself to things that are not already in my view & periphery.
