Does it make sense to talk about Product Hunt on LinkedIn?

I've been posting discussions here for a few weeks. Some of the answers I got are better than anything I'd write alone.

Nobody in my LinkedIn network sees any of it.

Also what surprised me is how many people have never heard of PH at all. I assumed everyone in tech knew it. Turns out it's a fairly niche community, and half my network would need the sentence explained before they could care about it.

Some other things stop me to talk about it on LinkedIn Two audiences are different, so I'm not sure the conversation here means anything to someone scrolling there.

Do you cross-post between platforms, or keep each one separate?

Neither, really: what travels is not the thread, it is the thing you learned in it. If an answer here changed your mind about something, that is a LinkedIn post on its own, and it does not need the platform named or explained. Treat the thread as research and post the finding.

I think it makes sense, but I wouldn’t just copy the same Product Hunt discussion onto LinkedIn.

For me, Product Hunt can be where I test thoughts, see how people react, and learn from replies. Then on LinkedIn I’d turn the strongest idea into a cleaner post for that audience.

So I’d cross-post the learning, not necessarily the thread itself.
