Does building in public actually help?
Hey makers 👋, The build in public movement has exploded in the past few years.
We’ve all seen the wins — people sharing revenue milestones, design mockups, pivots, and failures… all in real time.
But I’ve been thinking lately — beyond the likes and transparency, what tangible benefits has building in public brought you?
Some say: It helps validate faster, It attracts early users, It builds trust and community, It holds you accountable, It opens surprising doors (investors, collabs, etc.).
But others feel it adds pressure or distracts from actually building.
So I’d love to hear:
Has building in public helped your journey? Or would you rather keep it stealthy and quiet?
Let’s talk openly. Just curious what your real experiences have been like. 🙌
