Do you send email alerts when launching a new feature?

Silence from users is honestly worse than complaints. When people complain at least you know they care enough to say something.

But when a feature sits there with zero usage it's super hard to tell if it's useless or if it's just completely hidden in the UI.

We started sending a quick release email whenever we ship something new, and usage jumped instantly.

Do you usually announce updates inside the app or do you rely on users just stumbling across them?
