Customers explain your product better than you do

by

I’ve noticed something while talking to customers lately.

They describe the product in a completely different way than we do on the website.

We say things like “save time” or “automate your workflow”.

They say:

“this saves me 2 hours every week”

“i used to do this in a spreadsheet”

“now i don’t have to think about it anymore”

Their version is usually much better 😂

Made me wonder how other founders handle this.

Do you actually keep track of the words customers use, or do you just write down the good ones when they come up?

I don't neessarily track the words customers are using, but when I'm researching for copywriting projects (I'm a copywriter), I pay close attention to the language my clients' customers are using to describe the project, yes.
