Building more features won't save a product that users only open on Mondays.

When user growth slows down, the immediate reaction is usually: We need to ship more features.

So we spent a month building requested integrations and advanced dashboards. But retention didn't budge. The users who were going to churn still churned.

It made me realize: people don't leave because your tool lacks a specific button. They leave because your app hasn't become a daily habit.

For those who have cracked this how do you shift user mindset a tool I use when remember to something I open the second I log in"?

Maybe the question is whether it should be daily at all. My app makes personalized songs, and nobody needs a song every day, so forcing a daily habit would just mean annoying pushes. What I did instead was tie it to the moments people already have. There's an occasions tab that imports birthdays and holidays from the calendar and reminds you a few days before, with a song idea for that person. Subscribers get credits refilled weekly, which gives a soft reason to come back. So the goal stopped being "open it every morning" and became "be the first thing you think of when a birthday is coming". For your tool it could be the same question: what real event in the user's week should trigger the open?
