Are we building tools for creators, or tools for creation itself?
I started thinking about this after feeling frustrated with creative tools that limit experimentation through subscriptions, credits, and usage restrictions.
Then I discovered the local AI space, and it introduced another interesting tradeoff: having more ownership and control often means taking on more complexity.
It reminds me of the difference between designing a house and living in one.
Some people love understanding every detail, customizing every part, and mastering the tools they use. Others have an idea they want to bring to life and want the technology to simply help them get there.
Both approaches are valuable.
But I wonder if we sometimes focus so much on making creators more powerful that we forget an important goal:
The best tools eventually disappear behind the creation itself.
A great camera does not make someone think about lenses before capturing a moment. A great writing tool does not make someone think about the software before expressing an idea.
Should AI creative tools follow the same principle?
Should the future of creation focus less on learning tools and more on helping people turn ideas into reality?

i agree with this. sometimes craetors don't need more control they need less friction. give me a way to express my thought and help me shape it into something meaningful.
