Hey everyone.
What's your opinion on this?
I see people use meetup.com or Facebook events usually. Sometimes Eventbrite (personally my least favorite).
Which do you prefer and why?
Tried most of them over the years. Facebook Events is fine for casual stuff but the organic reach has tanked so much it's barely worth it unless you're already paying to boost. Meetup has a decent built-in audience for certain niches but you're renting their community, not building your own.
Eventbrite I agree with you on — the fees crept up and they basically own your attendee relationship, which became a dealbreaker for us.
We switched to EventBee a while back and honestly haven't looked back. What I like the best are the flat fee's so no percentage is taken away and we're not constantly fighting the platform. Keeping our buyer data actually felt like a luxury after Eventbrite.
