Ganttry - Desktop-class Gantt charts for Google Workspace

by•
Project scheduling that works like the desktop tools, in your browser: a task table beside a Gantt chart, with links, critical path, baselines and resources. Projects live in your Google Drive, and it opens Microsoft Project files. Try it, no sign-up.

Hi Product Hunt, I'm Shannon, and I made Ganttry.

Our team works on Google Workspace and I found it quite annoying that there was no tool like MS Projects available for this platform. So I started writing one...

Ganttry works like the desktop tools you know:
• a task table beside a Gantt chart, with summary tasks and milestones
• all four link types with lag, constraints and deadlines, and the critical path
• progress, actual dates and a baseline to compare against
• people, costs, holidays and levelling
• the keyboard shortcuts and copy and paste you expect

And it fits into Google Workspace: every project is a file in your own Google Drive, shared like any other file. The people you share it with can edit it with you live. Ganttry only gets access to the files you use with it.

It also opens Microsoft Project files (.mpp and XML), so you can bring your projects along. If you only need to look at an .mpp file, there is a free viewer at ganttry.org/mpp-viewer.

You can try it right away without signing up. Ganttry is in beta: the first 500 people to sign up get Business free for 12 months, then a founding member price.

I would love your feedback, especially: what would stop you from moving a real project into Ganttry? I will be here all day to answer questions.

I can also put this in one sentence: I got frustrated that there was no MS Project equivalent for Google Workspace, so I built one. I need some brutal beta testers to tell me what I got wrong!
