Fuego started as just wanting a cleaner version of that same habit for myself, then it grew into a full FI number / Coast FIRE / projections tool — once you're already checking your numbers every quarter, you start wanting more from them. I'd tried the bank-linking apps like Empower a few times and never stuck with them — syncs would break, balances would be off, and handing over bank credentials for that always felt like a bad trade. Checking your accounts once a quarter and entering the totals yourself isn't a chore, it's a good habit anyway, and it means you actually notice what moved instead of glancing at a dashboard that updated itself.  thanks! I personally preferred to use a manual spreadsheet before this because it also allowed me to enter "other" assets and liabilities that aren't tied behind a bank portal, like my off brand Mortgage provider or my vehicles.

Love the manual input approach and the FIRE-focused math. One thing that would help me stick with it long-term: a simple CSV export so I can back up my entries or share with my partner. Even just a quarterly snapshot button would do the job.
