Calling all Tesla/EV group admins: Whatโ€™s your biggest headache running a community? ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ”ง

byโ€ข

Hey Product Hunt community! ๐Ÿ‘‹

My team and I are gearing up to launch FrunkFriends a private, bot-free social network exclusively for Tesla owners.

As we approach our launch, we really want to make sure we are supporting the true heroes of the EV world: the community leaders. The folks who organize local meetups, run regional clubs, and keep owners connected.

We know that managing communities on legacy platforms like Facebook Groups, Reddit, or old-school forums can be a nightmare. Between dodging bots, managing event RSVPs, and dealing with algorithmic reach limits, itโ€™s a lot of unpaid labor!

We designed FrunkFriends to help with features like:

  • Zero Bots: Strict verification so you're only dealing with real humans.

  • Built-in Group Tools: The ability for local groups to organize events, coordinate meetups, and publish articles, select unique group url etc.

If you run a Tesla club, a local EV chapter, or any passionate enthusiast group, Iโ€™d love to hear from you:

  1. What is your #1 frustration with the platform you currently use to manage your community?

  2. What tool or feature do you wish existed to make running meetups or sharing info easier?

Drop your thoughts below, or feel free to DM me if you'd like a personal tour :)
