Hey Product Hunt community! 👋 I’m JC, the creator of Fruitask. The story behind Fruitask started out of pure frustration. Runing a small team meant we heavily relied on tools like Airtable and Asana to keep our operations moving. But as our team grew, the "per-user, per-month" subscription models quickly became a massive financial bottleneck. To cut down on expenses, we reluctantly moved back to spreadsheets but we completely lost that streamlined, cohesive application feel. That’s when I decided to build an internal MVP to solve our own problem. Over time, that MVP evolved into Fruitask a complete work operating system designed to give teams and freelancers everything they need without the subscription trap. What makes Fruitask different? Everything in One Workspace: Bring your notes, flexible tables, calendar planning, real-time chat, and sprint boards into a single, cohesive dashboard. Built-in AI Workflow Automation: Use our visual canvas to set triggers, chain actions, and deploy custom AI agents (for marketing, support, project management, etc.) to handle repetitive work. Deep Work Features: We've built in a native Pomodoro timer and audio/video players so you can stay locked into your zone without bouncing between tabs. Truly Forever Free: All core features are 100% free, supported by a single static ad. You only scale into paid tiers if you want to completely white-label the platform under your own brand and domain. We’re incredibly excited to open this up to the community today. I’d love to hear your thoughts, answer any questions, and get your feedback on how we can make Fruitask the ultimate workspace for your business!

The all-in-one setup actually feels light instead of bloated, and the work-agents are a nice touch for repetitive tasks. Calendar syncing with notes was smoother than I expected for a free tool.

Hi, thanks so much for the kind words! 💯

how do the work agents actually get trained on our existing docs and processes, or is that mostly a setup job on our end?

Hi Great question,

You don't have to worry about a massive manual setup at all. The work-agents pull context directly from two main places right inside.

  1. The Knowledge Base: You just upload or sync your existing company docs, SOPs, or process files into your workspaces Knowledge Base.

  2. Attached Workspace Context: When you configure an agent on the visual canvas, you can literally link it to specific tables, notes, or active sprint boards, this is the automatic.

The agent reads and trains on that attached context in real time. It instantly understands your data and workflows without you needing to do any complex training or coding.

how does the free plan handle multiple team members, are there limits on the work agents or automation runs before you hit a paywall?

Hello (And , tagging you here too since you asked something similar)

Fruitask doesnt have any per-seat subscription paywalls, so you can absolutely bring a team of 5 or more on the free plan without getting hit by a "per-user tax."

Regarding limits on work-agents and automation:

We give everyone a generous amount of free usage out of the box to get you started. Once you run through that, you won't get locked out or forced into a high monthly subscription. Fruitask is built as a "Bring Your Own API" (BYO-API) platform meaning you can simply plug in your own API keys from OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, etc. and run your automations directly through your own developer accounts!

We are also planning to add a simple, flexible "top-up" credit system in the near future, so you can easily buy extra processing credits directly through us whenever you need them.

How does the free tier actually hold up for a team of like five people, are there any hidden caps on the work-agents or automation runs before they nudge you toward a paid plan?

How does the free tier actually hold up in practice, especially around the work agents and automations. Are there usage caps or is it genuinely unlimited for solo users?
