The inspiration for FROSTBYTES came from watching AI explode. Training massive models while data centers guzzle power and waste heat/energy like never before. We saw the thermal wall hitting hard: next-gen chips (think 700W+ GPUs) overheating, forcing derates, spiking PUE >1.5, and evaporating billions of gallons of water yearly via cooling towers and evaporators. The core problem? Traditional air cooling can't keep up, and most liquid solutions cap at low outlet temps (~30-45°C), requiring extra heat pumps for reuse - inefficient and costly. We started prototyping standard cold plates but evolved fast: iterated designs for high-output temp coolant (enabling direct reuse for district heating, greenhouses, etc., without pumps). Focused on USA manufacturing for supply chain resilience, precision machining for better thermal contact, and closed-loop efficiency to slash energy 40-60%+ while hitting PUE <1.1 potential. This launch is about making sustainable AI scaling real. Cool the chips, capture usable heat, eliminate water loss, and build denser racks without compromise. Excited to hear your thoughts - what's your biggest cooling pain point in AI/HPC today? Let's discuss!
