FreezeTWN - Freeze your TWN online without faxing or phone calls

by
FreezeTWN provides an online form for freezing and hiding your Equifax TWN. Your TWN is used by employers to check if you're secretly working two jobs. Equifax makes freezing hard by requiring faxing or long phone calls, and not providing an online form.

I was curious about overemployment and people who work two or more full-time jobs remotely while none of their jobs know about each other. Turns out that there's a special number owned by Equifax called the TWN that tries to tie all your paychecks together. Employers can use this to see if you secretly are working for anyone else on the side. Everyone in the overemployed community recommends freezing your TWN before even trying to work two jobs, but Equifax makes this hard. They don't provide an online form, and push the user to fax or mail them. They don't want people to freeze it, because the more people freeze, the less valuable of a product it is to sell to employers. I tried calling them several times, and each time got put on hold for over an hour before giving up. I tried emailing and didn't get a response. So instead, I decided to build an online form. How's it work? You fill out the form, and on the backend an automated service handles filling out Equifax's forms, combines your uploaded identity and residence documents, and mails it to Equifax. You save anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour of your time, and can start off on your overemployment journey safely.
