FreezeTube - Defeat infinite scroll with a fixed YouTube homepage.

by
FreezeTube isn't another harsh site blocker it gives you a controlled dose of YouTube. Instead of hiding the site entirely, it uses data-layer interception to grab exactly 6, 12, or 18 videos and permanently freezes them. It neutralizes YouTube's internal router so no new videos can load. No infinite scroll, no spinners, and no sidebars. Built to help you enjoy content intentionally without falling into the algorithm's rabbit hole. Take back your focus!

Hey everyone! 👋 As a developer who constantly uses YouTube for tutorials and research, I realized I was losing way too many hours to the infinite scroll. Existing blockers were too rigid sometimes you do want to watch a few videos, you just don't want to get sucked into a 3-hour binge. I built FreezeTube under Tiny Developments to fix that. It intercepts the network data layer to lock your feed to a strict limit of your choosing. Once you hit the bottom of your 6 or 12 videos, the scroll is completely dead. It also strips out the sidebar suggestions and end-screen cards for total distraction-free viewing. I'd love to hear how it impacts your daily focus, and I'll be hanging out in the comments all day to answer any technical questions or feedback!
