Why I built GradeCalcLab (and what I'd love feedback on before launch)

Hey everyone! Launching GradeCalcLab on August 14th, and wanted to share the story behind it before launch day.

I kept noticing the same problem with grade/GPA calculators online they give you a number, but not the context you actually need. A GPA calculator tells you your GPA, but not whether dropping a class puts your financial aid at risk. A retake calculator tells you your new GPA, but not that federal aid only covers one retake of a passed course.

So I built calculators that try to close that gap:

- A Grade Drop Calculator that checks full-time status, financial aid risk, and academic probation not just the GPA math

Free grade &GPA calculators for students - Free grade & GPA calculators for students and teachers

GradeCalcLab is a free suite of grade and GPA calculators built for students, teachers, and parents — no sign-up, no ads blocking results. Unlike most calculators that just give you a number, ours explain the "why": a Retake GPA Calculator that flags financial aid risk, a Drop Calculator that checks full-time status, and a Grade Curve tool with 4 different curving methods. 10+ tools, all free.
