I built FrameCheck after seeing a painful pattern: photographers discover archive problems only when they urgently need the files, and by then recovery is limited or impossible. The core problem I wanted to solve is silent archive damage, like corrupted images, RAW/XMP sidecar mismatches, duplicate clutter, and metadata/timestamp inconsistencies that can sit unnoticed for months or years. During development and this launch, the process evolved from “basic corruption checker” to a broader integrity scanner focused on practical archive risk. I kept narrowing the product message to one clear promise: help photographers catch integrity issues early, before they become data loss events. Would love feedback from the Product Hunt community on which integrity checks are most valuable in real-world photo workflows.
