Thank you Product Hunt! Here are some post launch updates and new additions to FoundrRadio!

byβ€’

Hey everyone,

It's been a week since FoundrRadio launched on Product Hunt!

FoundrRadio started as a small experiment: an internet radio platform where anyone can claim a frequency and go live. I honestly didn't know if anyone would care. The support I received from this community has overwhelmed me in the best way, and I'm so grateful. FoundrRadio won #7 Product of the Day with ~100 upvotes, and you tried it out, shared your feedback, and asked questions that made it better. Thank you so much!

How the launch went

  • 26 channels have been claimed so far, and each one is a real person with something unique to broadcast.

  • People from more than 40 countries have stopped by.

  • Some of you became paying customers. As a solo maker, that means the world to me. Thank you for trusting a brand-new experiment. πŸ™

  • Your comments shaped most of what I built next.

What I've been working on since

  • A fresh new look. A cleaner, minimal radio interface with big numerals and a new radio interface, a dark mode, and a faster site.

  • Detailed analytics for channel owners. See who's listening, where they're tuning in from and when. See how many people visit your channel page, how many click through to your website, and how many found you through the featured spots.

  • Programs. Add a schedule up to five shows to your channel page with a name and a date and time, so listeners know exactly when to tune in.

  • A smoother studio. Going live is easier to set up and more reliable.

  • Better sharing. Your channel link now shows a nice preview card with your station name, frequency and website, and you can share a card for milestones like "I've been on air for 10h 34m".

you asked about tracking listeners and engagement. That's live now: the analytics above cover listeners, listening time, locations and traffic to your page. The next thing I want to build is seeing which of your shows gets the most engagement, so your question is still shaping the roadmap.

thank you so much for hunting FoundrRadio and for all your support. It made this launch possible, and I'm really grateful. And yes, it would be great to have go live on FoundrRadio one day, thanks for tagging him.

Rohit Kumar, you asked about themes and personal branding. Visitors can now pick their own themes (including dark) and backgrounds, and your channel page shows your name, frequency and website, with a custom preview when it's shared. Full per-station branding (your colours, fonts, your own look) isn't there yet, but it's on my list. I'd still love to know whether you'd prefer ready-made themes or full control.

thank you for the kind words, and for the great question about frequencies. All 201 channels can broadcast at the same time, so there's room for 201 stations on air at once.

What's next
Per-show analytics, more ways to make your channel look like yours, and I'm also exploring live reactions option where listeners could react and send their floating emojis.

If you haven't tried it yet, visit to listen, or claim a frequency and go live yourself. If you have an idea or something is bugging you, tell me here. I read every comment, and that's how this small experiment keeps getting better.

Launched the new version today, do check it out β†’

Thank you again for making this launch so special πŸ™
