ForgeTerm - Terminal for multi-project workflows with auto-tiling

by
ForgeTerm lets you open an entire workspace with one click — each project gets its own themed window with pre-configured terminal sessions, automatically tiled across your screen. Define sessions (dev server, tests, shell) that auto-launch per project. Import from VS Code Project Manager. Config travels with your repo via .forgeterm.json. MIT licensed, open source.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built ForgeTerm because I was frustrated with the ritual of setting up my terminal every morning — cd into each project, start the dev server, launch the test watcher, open a shell... and repeat for every project I'm working on. ForgeTerm solves this with workspaces: define your projects, group them, and open everything at once. Windows auto-tile across your screen. Each project gets named terminal sessions that launch automatically. You can give each project its own color theme so you always know which window you're looking at. It also imports from VS Code Project Manager, so if you're already organizing your projects there, getting started takes one click. v0.2.0 is available as a macOS DMG (Apple Silicon). Windows, Linux, and Intel Mac users can build from source — it's a standard Electron app. Would love your feedback! What features would make this indispensable for your workflow?
