Hello all 👋,
A website isn't just about color and color pallets, picking right fonts plays a key role in communicating your brand and information on your webpage
But picking the right one that suits the website is hard. With Font tester you can directly preview 1000+ google fonts right on your website and directly copy the code.
What's Font Tester?
Font tester is a browser extension to help you pick and decided from over 1000 Google fonts
It works with 3 simple steps:
1. Highlight a text on your website.
2. Pick a font an preview.
3. Copy the code for the font
Yes that's it!

useful tool, Paul! Now I can stop refreshing the development-server every time I want to try a new font!
Oh thank God for this! Just spent 2 hours last week doing the whole download-test-delete dance with fonts for a client project. The fact I can test right on the actual website instead of Figma mockups is chef's kiss. Quick question though - any plans to add variable font support? My design system work lately has been leaning heavy into those
@thealisoneyo Sorry for the late reply, just saw your comment. I’m so glad the tool’s been helpful! Honestly, I know that download-test-delete routine all too well, so hearing it’s saving you time makes my day. 🙌
About variable fonts—you can already upload fonts, adjust weights, line height, and font size, so you can play around with those properties. But, there’s no dropdown yet to preview all the variable axes like width or slant. It’s definitely on my radar, though, so thanks for bringing it up!
If there are specific axes you’d love to see supported, let me know. I’d love to hear them
Cheers!

A very tiny and interesting tool. Congrats on your launch, Paul!
Congratulations!
I agree, typography plays such an important role. And often design and dev don’t match!
This should be the perfect bridge for the two! Where we can now see how it would actually look like!
