FlowCapturer was inspired by a very common problem I faced while working with teams - creating documentation is slow, repetitive, and often ignored. Whether it’s writing SOPs, documenting a workflow, or explaining steps to teammates or clients, it usually involves taking screenshots, writing descriptions, organizing them, and formatting everything manually. This process takes a lot of time, so many teams simply skip documentation altogether. I wanted to simplify this process by automating the creation of step-by-step guides. The idea behind FlowCapturer is simple: instead of manually writing documentation, users can record their workflow and automatically generate structured guides with screenshots and steps. While building the product, the approach evolved quite a bit. Initially, I focused on simply capturing screenshots during user actions. But during development, I realized that teams need more than just screenshots—they need clear steps, editable descriptions, and shareable documentation. So the product gradually evolved into a tool that not only captures workflows but also helps teams organize, edit, and share process documentation easily. The goal of FlowCapturer is to make documentation effortless and automatic, so teams can focus on their work while the documentation builds itself.
