Google Flights says "Wi-Fi for a fee." It never says whether that wifi can hold a video call or barely load an email. FlightWifi adds an honest verdict to every flight on Google Flights and Skyscanner: - video calls work (Starlink-class), - email only (GEO satellite), - no wifi on this aircraft, - or not yet verified. Verdicts are per aircraft, not per airline. No permissions, no accounts, zero network requests. Free.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built FlightWifi after one too many flights where "Wi-Fi for a fee" turned out to mean wifi that couldn't load an email. Dozens of airlines that aggregators list as "has wifi" actually run a local streaming portal with no internet at all. It can't send a single message. Meanwhile the same airline can fly Starlink on one aircraft and nothing on another, so verdicts are per aircraft, not per airline. Two rules I held onto while building: • Honest verdicts only: "Video calls work", "Email and messaging only", "No wifi on this aircraft", or "Not yet verified" when I genuinely don't know. Never an invented speed number. • Private by design: no permissions, no accounts, no analytics, zero network requests. It's free.
