FLIBO - Find out what's best for you on your streaming apps

Hey everyone, I hope you are safe amid this coronavirus outbreak. I'm excited to share a product I have been working upon for last 1 year with 2 of my friends. It's called FLIBO, a film library. Started working on this project because I found myself frustrated every time I tried searching for a movie or a new show to start watching. I'm sure many of you will relate to the following scenario - - You get back from office, have your dinner and then decide to watch a movie. - You open Netflix, scroll for 5 minutes, go to google to search more. - Suddenly it's been 40-50 minutes and you are scrolling on Instagram 😛 - Now you are doing some time calculations because if you start a movie now, you'll sleep late and guess what, tomorrow you have to start waking up early 😂 - So now you end up watching the same old show that you always watch. End of story. This happens simply because there are too many options. "One effect of choice, paradoxically, is that it produces paralysis, rather than liberation." We tried many apps before starting this project but all of them could answer only one of the following questions (that too poorly) - What to watch? Where to watch? We have created this app keeping above 2 questions in mind. This app helps you choose in following ways - 1. You swipe movie & TV show cards to rate 2. Based on your ratings, app picks best content for you from your subscribed platforms. 3. There is a feed where you can see what other users, having similar taste to yours, loved watching which you haven't yet watched. 4. If you have some thought about what you want to watch then there is a search engine for you where you can use combination of platforms, genres, IMDb ratings, awards, artists, years to look for a content precisely the way you want. I can search platform specific good content. Get recommended based on my taste for various platforms, in contrast to Netflix which just recommends it's own content.
