Shopify, Woo, or something you own. What was the dealbreaker?

Curious what actually made you switch, or why you haven't.

The pattern I kept seeing:

  • Shopify feels finished, then the bill shows up. Plan, extra fees on sales, then apps for things that should be included.

  • WooCommerce is "yours," until you're maintaining 30 plugins that break on updates and fight each other at checkout.

  • Headless (Medusa, Saleor) is great if you already have a frontend team. Most people selling online do not.

FlexStore is my attempt at the third door: as complete as a hosted platform, but you own the store.

If you've run a shop on any of these, what was the moment you thought "I'm done"? Fees, plugins, a missing payment method, shipping, something else?

Not fishing for quotes. I want to know if I built the right scars into the product.
