Launching Aug 16. What should I put in front of people first?

Hey, I'm Mehedi. FlexStore launches here on August 16.

It's a self-hosted store you buy once and run on your own server. Storefront, checkout, admin, payments, shipping labels, reports. No monthly plan. You keep the sales.

The demo is already up if you want to click around before launch day:

Shopify, Woo, or something you own. What was the dealbreaker?

Curious what actually made you switch, or why you haven't.

The pattern I kept seeing:

  • Shopify feels finished, then the bill shows up. Plan, extra fees on sales, then apps for things that should be included.

  • WooCommerce is "yours," until you're maintaining 30 plugins that break on updates and fight each other at checkout.

  • Headless (Medusa, Saleor) is great if you already have a frontend team. Most people selling online do not.

FlexStore is my attempt at the third door: as complete as a hosted platform, but you own the store.

If you build stores for clients, what do you still have to bolt on every time?

This one is for freelancers and agencies.

I priced FlexStore with you in mind too (Pro is 5 sites, Agency is 10, client work is allowed). The idea is you buy the platform once, then sell the build, not a monthly platform tax your client will resent later.

What do you still end up custom-building or plugging in on almost every store?

  • A local payment gateway

  • Live shipping rates / labels

  • Multi-currency or RTL

  • A homepage that marketing can edit

  • Reports a client will actually open

  • Something else I didn't think of

What's still missing before you'd put a real store on this?

Product is far enough that I'm launching it. That does not mean it's done.

What's in the box today: physical and digital products, variants, single-page checkout, Stripe / PayPal / Razorpay / Mollie / Paystack / Tap / Mercado Pago / cash on delivery, Shippo and Shiprocket labels, taxes, inventory, returns, coupons, flash sales, blog, multi-language with RTL, multi-currency, reports, roles, a visual homepage builder, a web installer, updates from the admin.

What's the gap that would stop you from using it on a real shop?

Be blunt. "I would need X or I can't leave Shopify/Woo" is the most useful sentence you can write me this week.
