Hi, I'm Tlaster, the creator of Flare and a heavy social media user myself. The reason I started building Flare was simple: I wanted a clean, ad-free social client. As someone who uses several different social platforms, I also wanted a single app to manage all my accounts. That’s how Flare was born—out of a personal need to declutter my own digital life. The idea evolved from there. I realized that many news sites I follow support RSS, so I thought, why not bring my news and social feeds together? We added full RSS support and, based on great community feedback, included RSSHub support as well. And because I dislike switching between countless browser tabs, we built native desktop clients in addition to our mobile apps. As for what's next, Flare has a clear and continuously updated public roadmap on GitHub, which everyone is welcome to help build. Our next major focus is on AI, where we'll be adding features like intelligent filtering. I believe Flare's ultimate goal is to help you find the information that truly matters in our information-overloaded world, while remaining completely open-source. I would love to hear your feedback!
