FixHub - AI Service Orchestrator for the Informal Economy

FixHub was inspired by a common problem faced by millions of people in the informal economy: finding reliable service providers quickly when they need help. Whether it's a plumber, electrician, carpenter, cleaner, or technician, people often rely on personal contacts, social media posts, or lengthy searches, while skilled workers struggle to find consistent job opportunities. This creates a gap between those who need services and those who can provide them. The goal of FixHub was to bridge this gap using AI. Instead of forcing users to browse through categories or search manually, the platform allows users to simply describe their problem in natural language. The AI then understands the request, identifies the required service, considers the user's location, and intelligently matches them with the most relevant nearby service providers. As the project evolved, the focus shifted from being just a service marketplace to becoming an AI Service Orchestrator. I integrated AI-powered problem detection, smart service categorization, location-aware matching, and automated provider recommendations to create a smoother user experience. The vision became much larger than connecting customers and workers—it became about using AI to empower informal workers, reduce friction in service discovery, and create economic opportunities for local communities. Through this project, I explored how AI, automation, and intelligent workflows can solve real-world problems and make essential services more accessible, efficient, and trustworthy for everyone. 🚀🤖💡
