Delighted to be sharing this at last as we've been working on it at Intercom for several months. We've taken some of our best writing on starting up from our blog, added in our latest thinking and sprinkled it with some stories from the early days of the company. It's divided into 9 questions that we believe every startup is going to have to answer as it grows e.g. what to build, who to hire, why culture matters etc. Available in a beautiful hardcover (or an equally beautiful PDF), it features over a dozen original illustrations courtesy of the Intercom Brand Studio. I love the distribution method. Either pay $10 (very reasonable), pay $5 to a great cause, or share with a friend (building distribution into the model - and giving intercom two email addresses for zero marginal cost). (I went for the great cause ::smile::)

$10 is extremely reasonable, yet you're still complaining?

The books are being shipped from Canada, where they were printed. Even at that price we are not making any money on this, just covering production and distribution costs.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on an early copy. The hardback copy is beautiful, and the print quality is amazing, but maybe I've a soft spot for neon inks.The production value is way better than any other $10 'business' book, pick it up you won't be disappointed.
Tried to pre-order the book but I can't put my phone number in the form, it's always marked as invalid while it's a valid number in Poland. Can you advise what's the valid format for phone numbers?
I'm getting the exact same issue for Portugal. Ironically, their customer service isn't replying. :-P Edit: They've replied and are working on it. I would suggest you try giving them a ping as well Piotr!

Received my copy yesterday and it's stunning. The design and layout make me a little jealous actually. Kind of wish my books had been so beautifully designed. I'm only a few pages in but I can already tell this book is a keeper. Nice work!
Have been following the Intercom blog, and really love all the things they are sharing with the community. Would be great to grab a copy at one of the Intercom World Tour events. Otherwise, pre-ordering one for sure.
