Fieldmobi Smart Notes is a powerful field team management platform that feels like a messaging app. It takes messages, images and voice notes from your team and structures it into searchable and analyzable data with reports, analysis and map view.
I'm going to just say it. Group chats don't work for work updates!🤯😒
You end up with hundreds of birthday wishes and "good morning" messages and then get so tired of reading them that you end up missing the important stuff. 😤😤😤
We just use it because it is easy to set up.
Well, we built Fieldmobi Smart Notes to be just as easy to setup and use with a whole lot more 💪power as a work tool. It takes messages from the team and turns them in to 🔍searchable and 📈analyzable data that you can ⬇️download to Excel, 🌐view on a map, 🖋️edit and comment on.
It can be used for:
💲 managing expenses
👷 sharing work updates (especially if it's from remote locations)
🔍 inspections
📄 maintenance physical documents like bills and letters
🏠 location recce
🔢data collection
✨ and a whole lot more!!! (No really, you can do whatever you like with it. We even use it to mark locations of places we travel to with pictures!)
Here are few things to try:
1. Send a 💬message with 🖼️images, 🎵audio, #hashtags and💲Amounts (+ or -)
Select "My Notes" as the team and send a message on the mobile app.
Add a "#" before keywords and "+" or "-" before amounts.
Click on the buttons to capture and attach images and audio. You can add as many as you like.
Go to your dashboard and toggle between map and list view to see details.
If you send an image with text, you can view the text from the image on the right panel of the dashboard when you click on the message.
You can also search by Text Within Images.
2. Create teams and add users 👩👧🏾🧑🏼🦰👨🏽👴🏻👦🏿
Select "My Notes" as the team in the "Team/Project" dropdown and add a team on the mobile app. The "Operation Type" helps automatically set up Categories but they can be easily edited so don't worry too much.
Once created, select the team in the "Team/Project" dropdown and "Add a Field User". The Team will automatically appear on the field user's app. (Make sure you tell them to download the Fieldmobi App first).
As the Team Owner, you'll be able to see anything they send on the group through your dashboard.
3. View, Update and Send Messages with 🗂️Category Classification using the Star(*) Tag
When you create a team, Categories are automatically set up based on the "Operation Type". If you go to "Teams" on the dashboard and click on a team you've created, you'll be able to see the details of the team on the right panel including the categories set up for it.
If you click "Edit" you can update those categories.
If you add a "*" and the first one or two letters of a category in a message on the mobile app, the message will get automatically categorized.
Bonus: If an image has a category mentioned in it (eg. "Bill" is set up as a category and the image you click has the word "Bill" written on it), it'll go straight into "Classification Detected".

@olenabomko Thank you so much! We are targeting team leaders and small businesses who have been using things like Whatsapp group chat to coordinate with their field teams. The idea is to have it be as simple to setup and as easy to use as a messaging app for the team while turning the messages into searchable and analyzable, geotagged data!
That's such an interesting product! I can see it as a very useful tool. There is so much stuff going on in group chats, I'm working in a very small team so I cannot even imagine how big of a problem it can be when you are working with more people.

Fieldmobi Smart Notes is designed to be versatile and so people who have been created group chats to manage a project can quickly create a team and actually make sense of the data collected. There's nothing like having all your essential business software in one place! SMBs or businesses just starting out often have a scattered tool stack, which makes work chaotic at times and tremendously reduces productivity. Congrats! I used to work with 50 colleagues and sometimes it was a challenge to find anything among all our conversations. Now we are only 2 but I remember the pain and understand the value of your tool
I find the image text extraction feature very useful. Could you provide more details about how it works? Is it automatic, or do users need to manually tag or describe the content?
@mayank_gupta33 Amazing! We use OCR to convert images to text. No manual entry required. This allows users to search using text with images, making finding thing much easier. We can also detect categories mentioned within the image and sort it accordingly.
@pratichi_nandy Thanks :) Messages can be sent even when offline but they can only be viewed online. This is to make sure that even when internet networks are weak on the field messages and data can be collected but all data is up-to-date when viewed.
As someone who has worked in and led teams of varying sizes, I have always found myself wishing if a team management platform that is as simple as group chat would exist. I guess I don't have to wonder anymore!
I love the idea and am looking forward to empowering teams using FieldMobi Smart Notes but I'm curious - are there are any preset templates or custom settings available out of the box suited for different kinds or types of teams?
@anish_sudhan Thanks a lot! When you create a team, you can select an Operation Type. Categories are created based on the Operation Type you select. You can change this whenever you need to by going to Teams on the dashboard and clicking Edit!
