FieldKit Pro - Field Recording for iOS

by
FieldKit is a field recording app built for sound designers, not journalists. Record with a live waveform display, tag recordings with searchable keywords, and build a personal sound library with GPS and metadata baked in. No subscriptions, no cloud, no accounts, everything stays on your device. Existing recording apps are either bare-bones (Voice Memos) or overbuilt for podcasting. FieldKit fills the gap: capture, visualize, tag, organize, and export all in one focused tool.

I built FieldKit because I kept losing sounds. I'd record something interesting: rain hitting a dumpster, a weird hum from an old transformer, and it would end up buried in Voice Memos with no way to find it again. I wanted a recorder that treated field recordings like assets, not voice notes. Something with visual feedback while recording, tagging so I could actually search my library, and automatic GPS metadata so I'd remember where I captured things. Every existing app was either built for podcast interviews or was just a spectrum analyzer with a record button bolted on. Nothing combined the full workflow (record, see, tag, organize, export) into one clean tool. So I built it. No AI, no cloud, no subscription. Just a recorder that respects the craft.
