Hi everyone! I built Fear & Greed Index - LIVE from CNN because I kept checking market sentiment throughout the day, but opening another tab just to see one number felt unnecessary. The CNN page can also be slow to load, especially when I only want a quick read. The idea was simple: make the CNN Fear & Greed Index visible at a glance, right from the Chrome toolbar. The extension started as a tiny number badge, but the design evolved into a color-coded icon so the sentiment is easier to read instantly: red and orange for fear, yellow for neutral, and green for greed. I also wanted it to feel lightweight, focused, and privacy-friendly, so it does one thing without collecting personal user data. I hope some of you find this tool helpful! :)
