fdsrch (prod) - Food search, simplified.

by
fdsrch takes an ingredient-first approach to food search. Instead of relying on nutrition scores or vague dietary tags, it parses and normalizes ingredient lists so you can search and compare foods based on what’s actually in them. It’s built for clarity, not conclusions.

Hi Product Hunt — I’m David, the builder behind fdsrch. I built fdsrch because I kept running into the same problem: ingredient information exists, but it’s surprisingly hard to search, compare, or use without jumping between labels, brand sites, or opinionated scoring apps. fdsrch takes an ingredient-first approach. It parses and normalizes ingredient lists so you can search foods by what’s actually in them — without health scores, labels, or judgments. The goal is clarity and transparency, not telling you what you should eat. This launch is an early step, and I’m actively iterating. I’d love feedback on: Ingredient search accuracy Features you’d want next Use cases you wish existing food tools handled better Thanks for checking it out, and I’m happy to answer any questions
