What inspired me to build this app was seeing folks with less-than-optimal health succumbing to Covid. I knew locally produced food offered healthier alternatives to mega store-bought ingredients, supporting the local economy while improving one's health. My wife and I also visited the only sheep dairy left in Maryland and saw how the farmers were having to travel far distances to sell their cheese and sheep soap. I knew there was a better way to support local producers in their efforts to sell their products more efficiently and without so much hassle. Farmooly was born! The goal: to help support local producers while improving our health and land/soil.
