Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Fantasy Name Generator because every name generator I found just spat out random syllables. "Xylania". "Dravor". Cool-sounding, but empty — no meaning, no roots, no reason. I wanted names that actually mean something. So every name here comes with three things: • Meaning — rooted in real linguistic traditions (Old Norse, Welsh, Sanskrit, Akkadian, Old English, Latin, Greek and more), not copied from existing fictional characters. • Pronunciation — a readable guide, so you know how to actually say it. • Lore — a story-ready role, so the name drops straight into your novel, campaign, or game. One thing I care about: names drawn from living traditions (jinn, naga, kitsune, sphinx, banshee...) are researched and reviewed for accuracy and respect — not flattened into stereotypes. 100+ generators covering fantasy races (dragons, elves, vampires, demons...), D&D subraces, and places (kingdoms, cities, taverns, ships). All free. I'd love your feedback — what generators should I add next?

The pronunciation guides are genuinely helpful, and I love that every name has a real meaning pulled from actual linguistic roots instead of random syllable soup.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We put a lot of effort into ensuring that every name feels 'grounded' in real-world linguistics rather than just being a collection of random letters. Glad to hear the pronunciation guides are making a difference—our goal was to make sure these names aren't just cool to look at, but actually usable in your storytelling or world-building. Stay tuned for more linguistic updates!
