Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Eric, the solo developer behind FacilAbo. 🤔 The Problem & Inspiration: I love the native iOS Apple Calendar—it’s clean and respects privacy. But out of the box, it’s just an empty shell. Every time I wanted to track Formula 1 race times, my favorite soccer team's schedule, or global public holidays, I had to manually hunt down .ics files or download clunky third-party apps. Worse, most of these apps demanded a $5/month subscription just to show me when a game starts. 💡 The Solution: I built FacilAbo to fix this. It’s a native iOS app that acts as a "hub" to inject over 170+ dynamic calendars directly into your default Apple Calendar in just 1 click. 🏎️ Sports: F1, MotoGP, Soccer, Rugby, Tennis (with TV broadcasting channels!). 🏖️ Life: Global public holidays, school holidays, moon phases. 🎂 Smart Assistants: A privacy-first birthday tracker and a "Free Trial Tracker" to remind you to cancel subscriptions before getting charged. 🔄 How the process evolved: Initially, I just wanted to build this for the French market to track our complex "RTT" (paid time off) and school zones. But as early users started giving feedback, the demand for international sports (like F1) exploded. The biggest evolution was my monetization choice. As an indie dev, I suffer from subscription fatigue. I made a strict rule: Zero subscriptions. It’s free to download and try.
