Facebook has a funny way with names. First Paper, then Slingshot/Snapchat, now Mention/Mentions?
Great artists steal?
After Poke, I think it may be more like good artists copy :D
Really good idea to help drive engagement of valuable, that is, lucrative, users.
how?
This would make more sense to me as a tool for companies to discover conversations around their products and engage, not just another way for Bieber to check in with his fans. Definitely another attack on Twitter, though.
Totally agree about it being a blatant move against Twitter.
Here's a new UX question: "how would people use our app if they were super famous/influential?" I wonder what's actually different. A higher threshold of activity before sending push notifications? Multi-user account management so your PR/media team can post on your behalf?
Very impressive. They keep chipping away at Twitter's lock on public/flat/pop culture differentiation
Yo, ! Chime in on this one. :)
