Elysia Ecobotics Online: Building something bigger than another AI platform

Hey everyone!

I'm Bradley, founder of Elysia Ecobotics, an initiative of EcoSyneva Commons LLC.

I've been building Elysia Ecobotics Online, the public home for Elysia AI and a growing ecosystem of open technology, developer tools, scientific resources, and community collaboration.

And it's already live!

So what exactly is Elysia Ecobotics Online?

It's more than a website for downloading an AI companion. I'm building a place where people can explore, create, share, and eventually contribute to technologies that serve real human and environmental needs.

Here's some of what's already available or taking shape:

  • The Elysia Archive: Free Linux releases of Elysia AI, public source code, installation documentation, and verifiable software artifacts.

  • Developer Forge: Resources and tools for building and preparing Elysia-compatible add-ons.

  • The Marketplace: A developing ecosystem for discovering add-ons with transparent permissions and trust information.

  • The Living Library: Scientific resources, datasets, research tools, and ecological knowledge.

  • The Commune: A community space intended for discussions, troubleshooting, collaboration, and sharing projects.

One principle matters enormously to me: the public website and Elysia's private local AI are separate. Your local conversations, memory, files, and credentials aren't automatically surrendered to a cloud platform just because you want to participate in the community.

My longer-term vision is to bring AI, robotics, environmental science, and open technology together in ways that are genuinely useful and accessible, rather than building another ecosystem that puts everything worthwhile behind a paywall.

There's still plenty to develop, and I'm not going to pretend every planned feature is finished. But the foundation is here, and I'm excited to start bringing more people into it.

I'd love to hear what you think!

What would make an ecosystem like this worth joining and regularly using? Community-built tools? Scientific resources? Privacy-first AI? Collaboration between developers and researchers? Something entirely different?

I want to hear what people would actually use, not just what sounds impressive on paper.

Thanks for checking it out! I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes and hearing your thoughts.
