I spent months building an AI-engine for the Egyptian Stock Exchange - here’s a sneak peek
Hi everyone,
I've been working as a software developer, and I noticed a huge gap in the Egyptian market: individual traders lack access to the professional quantitative tools that major institutions take for granted.
For the past few months, I've been heads-down building EGX BOTS. It's not just another screen-scraper; I've engineered a full quantitative engine that utilizes machine learning (Random Forest & LightGBM) to analyze hundreds of market metrics daily.
The core of the platform is a proprietary AI Score that ranks stocks based on their statistical probability of beating the EGX 30 index. I've also built a unique 'Historical Similarity' engine that maps price trajectories based on past patterns.
I’m launching this on Product Hunt in 48 hours, and I'd love to get some early feedback from this community. Specifically, I'm curious to hear what you think about the UI design and the quantitative approach.
What do you think is the biggest challenge in building AI-powered financial tools for emerging markets? Let's discuss!
