Hey Product Hunt 👋 I came across Haptiker here and liked the idea of using trackpad edges as controls. It made me curious enough to build my own version, which became EdgeVolume. The idea is simple: slide one finger up along the physical edge of your trackpad to increase the volume, or down to decrease it. You can choose either edge, adjust the sensitivity, and keep the app running while you’re watching videos or working in another app. It’s still an early prototype. I’ve already had to rethink some accidental-swipe safeguards after making them too restrictive, so gesture reliability is where I’m putting most of my attention. The code is public, and I’d love feedback from people with different MacBooks and trackpads: - Does the gesture feel natural? - Does it activate when you don’t intend it to? - What would make you use this over the keyboard volume keys? Thanks for giving it a try! Links - Website: edgevolume.vercel.app - Source:
