Echo - An AI that sees, understands, and acts on your Mac.

by•
Echo is a native macOS AI that sees what’s on your screen, understands what you mean, and helps you get things done. Ask questions, point at anything, move files, control apps, dictate, and automate tasks, all from a small orb that lives on the edge of your screen.

Hey, my names Ariel

I’ve been working on Echo for a while and figured it was finally time to put it in front of other people.

The basic idea was pretty simple. I got sick of constantly switching between whatever I was doing and a chatbot, copying things over, explaining what I was looking at, then going back and doing the actual work myself.

So I started building something that could just see what I’m seeing and help me with it.

Echo lives as a little orb on the edge of your screen. You can talk to it, ask it about something you're looking at, point at things, drop files onto it, move/sort files, dictate into other apps, control things on your Mac, or give it a bigger task and let it work through it.

The bit I’m most interested in is the interaction side of it. I didn’t want another chat window that just spits out text. I wanted Echo to actually show me what it means, go to the thing I’m talking about, and help me do something with it.

It’s still early and there’s obviously a lot I want to improve, so I’d really like to hear what you guys think. Especially what feels genuinely useful vs what feels like a gimmick lol

It’s free for 7 days and runs on macOS 14.2+.

Would love some honest feedback <3
