Hey Product Hunt 👋 Round two for EarthGuessr.
If you missed the first one: you get dropped somewhere on a 3D globe and have to figure out where in the world you are, then place your guess on the map. Harder than it sounds, and harder to stop playing.
Since the first launch we added multiplayer lobbies and daily challenges and fixed a stack of things people flagged last time. Tell me the region that always breaks your brain. Mine is the flat green middle of just about any country.
Geoguessr already proved people love guessing places, but satellite view adds a completely different skill: patterns, geography, infrastructure, land use.
Feels like the kind of product where people start playing “just one round” and lose 30 minutes.
What’s the hardest part to balance: making locations challenging or still guessable?

I like how this encourages people to look at landscapes, terrain, and geography rather than signs and landmarks.

Love this idea. Street View gives away a lot of clues, but satellite images really force you to think about geography.
