Apple's iPhone Duo folds like a tiny laptop, so I made it one.
DuoBook puts your Mac's screen, live, on the top half and turns the bottom half into a full Mac keyboard and trackpad: every key where your fingers expect it, the top row for brightness and volume, Touch ID to lock your Mac, three-finger swipes between desktops. Close it, and the outside screen becomes a laptop lid you design yourself.
It also works on any iPhone with iOS 17: your Mac's screen on top, keyboard and trackpad below, all on one screen.
How it works:
• A free menu-bar app on your Mac (DuoBook Host) streams the screen and does the typing and clicking.
• You pair once on the same Wi-Fi with a 6-digit code. Every connection is encrypted end to end.
• No account, no servers watching your screen, no data collected.
• No Mac handy? There's a built-in demo Mac so you can try every key and gesture first.
