Duo - Co-parenting expense tracker — clear, fair, no arguments

by•
Duo tracks shared child expenses between two parents — school, doctor, clothes, food, activities. Both parents see the same ledger: who paid, how much, what for. Duo splits by your agreed ratio (50/50, 70/30, custom) and shows running balance. No bank linking, no public feed, no judgement. Just a clean ledger between two co-parents. Duo Plus unlocks PDF/CSV export (useful for legal documentation), push notifications, and email reminders. One sub covers both parents.

Hey Hunters! I built Duo because last year after my separation, my ex and I were still arguing over text about who paid for what. Doctor visits. New winter boots. After-school clubs. Every month the same friction — "did you forget about the dentist?", "I sent you the receipt last week", "what's our running balance?". Splitwise felt wrong for two people. Honeydue is dying and Zeta was acquired and shut down. Tandem got acquired and the price doubled. Monarch and YNAB are budgeting tools, not splitters. So I built Duo. It does one thing well: - Both parents log expenses (school, doctor, clothes, etc.) - Duo splits by your agreed ratio (50/50, 70/30, custom) - Running balance is always visible to both - No bank linking, no social feed, no surveillance Duo Plus unlocks PDF/CSV export for lawyers, AI expense auto-fill, push notifications when the other parent adds an expense, and email reminders. One subscription covers both parents — not one per user. Built solo in Flutter + Supabase, 9 languages. iOS 15+ and Android 8+. Live on both stores. šŸŽ For Product Hunt: sign up in Duo with your email, then drop the same email in a comment below — I'll unlock Plus for you until the end of 2027. No promo code, no payment. Happy to answer anything about the stack, why I rejected bank linking entirely, or why the couple-finance category had such a rough 2025 (Honeydue, Zeta, Tandem all imploded).
