Hi Product Hunt,
I built Drumaio while learning drums again as an adult beginner.
At first, I just wanted a cleaner metronome and rhythm practice tool. But once I started learning songs, the real problem became everything around the practice: lesson-book photos, drum-chart videos, the original song, notes about sections, and a lot of dragging the timeline back to the same few bars.
Drumaio grew out of that workflow.
It brings the parts I kept switching between into one place:
- rhythm patterns
- readable drum notation
- metronome
- backing tracks
- loop ranges
- speed control
- section-by-section practice
The goal is simple: make the next repetition easier to start.
One small moment that made the project feel real was practicing `21 Guns`. Something felt slightly off when I followed a dynamic drum-chart video, but I did not trust my ears as a beginner. Later, after adding per-bar BPM and backing-track alignment, I found that some bars really do have tiny tempo differences. That was a nice reminder that a practice tool can also help you notice musical details.
Drumaio is free, has no ads, needs no login, and works offline.
I would love feedback from drummers, beginners, and builders:
- Is the value clear from the product page?
- Does this match how people actually practice songs section by section?
- What part of the onboarding should be simpler?
Happy to answer anything here.
