Hi Product Hunt 👋 I built Drefly because everyday tasks like recording a screen, editing a PDF, or converting a file kept getting locked behind subscriptions, watermarks, or signup walls. Drefly is a free toolbox that replaces a lot of tools people already pay for. Record replaces Loom, unlimited length, no watermark, no 5 minute cap. PDF tools replace Smallpdf and Adobe, merge, split, compress, convert, all free. Converters replace CloudConvert and Zamzar for video and images. There is also a downloader and a set of quick AI tools. Record is the one I am most proud of. We just added a way for companies to embed it directly on their site, current tab or new page, so users can record a bug or question and send it straight to support through a unique link. No plugin, no account required on the visitor's side. Everything is local first. We do not store or own your files, they stay on your device or your own connected cloud drive. Founder here. Built this after one too many "it's broken, trust me" support tickets. The core idea: let customers show you, not tell you, and don't make companies pay per seat or hand their customer recordings to a third party server to do it.

We just removed the paywall on AI Insights. Every screen recording on now gets a free transcript, summary, chapter markers, and translation into dozens of languages, plus a perception scan that reads what's on your screen, not just what's said.

New on top of that:

  • Edit any AI insight after it's generated, and download it on its own or bundled with the recording

  • BYOK support, bring your own AI provider key if you'd rather use that than ours

  • PIN-protected sharing where you customize exactly which AI insights viewers get to see
