drakkar.one - Drop-in map widget for your website. No Google, no cookies.

by
Add a map to your website with one line of code. No Google account needed, no API keys to manage, no cookie consent banner required. drakkar.one gives businesses an embeddable map that loads fast, respects visitor privacy, and doesn't show competitors next to your location. Configure your map in the dashboard — find your address, pick a style, copy the embed code. Works on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or any site that accepts HTML. Free tier includes one map widget. Paid plans (coming soon).

I built drakkar.one because I kept running into the same problem when building sites for small businesses: the Google Maps embed is heavy, legally messy in Europe (GDPR/cookie consent), and it shows competing businesses right next to your client's location. The whole thing runs on OpenStreetMap data served from Cloudflare's edge network. There's no tile server and tiles are stored as a single Protomaps PMTiles archive in Cloudflare R2 and served via a Worker. The infrastructure costs about €7/month. I used to work on navigation systems at HERE (the maps behind BMW, Audi, VW, Porsche dashboards), so mapping infrastructure is my background. Free tier is live now. You can set up a widget and embed it in a few minutes. Paid plans with custom styling and agency features are coming soon. Happy to answer anything about the stack, the GDPR angle, or how Protomaps works.
